Back To Winter Icky

I visited big 'Diane' this morning before the rains began in earnest. This is what you can buy at the nursery when your budget can afford more than twigs and sticks.

But yesterday's nice left in the night. It turned into an icky, rainy afternoon. All the snow left with it and the under garden came back into view.

The snake in the grass slithers through. From the front porch, the curve of this stone creature is not as evident.

Further down in the garden are other views.

In a southern winter there can be breaks in the snow cover. I need a garden that has something to say in that barren, quiet time of winter. With stone, texture, evergreens, color and art, Ku'ulei A'ina is starting to talk.

In my garden Diane has just one bud with a bit of color. I can't wait until she unfurls her colors.

Your property will be singing before you are finished with it.

It may be a while Lisa. Looks like a deep cold polar vortex is coming for the weekend. Let's hope the song that gets sung turns out harmonious.
