The Cups

Three pictures of the same Large Cupped Narcissus 'Ice Follies'.

Playing with the various choices in the compose mode on the new camera.

All the shots were taken in the same five minute span under the same general light.

If I keep practicing and reading the on-line manual over and over, it should begin to make sense. The same thing may happen if I keep looking at all these Daffodils. The subtle variations within the different classes may begin to come into focus.

You already took fine photos with your old camera, Christopher - it's going to be interesting to see you learn all the talents of this new one. I'm amazed that the old standby 'Ice Follies' could look so glamorous!

Like Annie, I thought your old camera took some mighty fine pics. We have inherited ice follies too, love that frilly trumpet. So even the dark background first photo was taken at the same time as the others? I have a new camera too and don't know enough to use it to it's potential, but it has more pixels. I wanted to be able to get some of those bird shots clearer, but I think you need a slr for that. Oh well.
Happy Easter.

I think it is the yellow hue that is the dickens for me to capture, (pink is the easiest). I don't think any of my daffodil pictures turned out well last year. Can't wait to try again though. Enjoy your new camera.

I like the first picture best. The cup looks like it is molded butter I could just take a bite out of it.
