The Tall Flower Meadow is for all purposes no more. The time to highlight the under garden has arrived sooner than expected.
It's a cold wet mess out there now. First the snow has to melt. Then I can start the chop and drop and uncover the under garden as I go. When is the real question. It is near dark when I get home now and I have another month at least of putting gardens to bed for clients.
My rear view mountain glows in the setting sun. It has a lot of oaks and is the last to fade into winter. One last view of fall before winter interest is all there is.

What a stark contrast to the last June 21st array of blooms and greenery. It's the cycle of life.
On a more mundane note, really like the red pick-up....is it on the scenic byway?
Going out in a blaze of glory up there on the rear view. Looks like you are power-shifting into Winter.
You will have to be satisfied with looking at your header photo. It is still so pretty.
It's tough when the first snow is a crushing snow. By mid-winter we might be a little more ready to believe that will happen.
We do have our memories. Winter will be another.
