There are dozens of photo worthy scenes along the scenic byway and very few places to pull off the road.

I finally stopped to feed the blog.

And for you my dear readers to enjoy the enchantment of Fall in the mountains of Western North Carolina.
Living the life of gardening high on the low spot of a North Carolina mountaintop.

The colors sure are getting evident. I love the colors & miss them. For some reason the scenery is enhanced if there is an old building included. Even if it's just an old barn it evokes the inner spirit in me.
I think so too Lola. The pictures are better with an old building for a focal point. On my computer now. So far so good. It just has some catching up and reorganizing to do.
Evident is right. We're nowhere near that here. Grapes and Japanese maples still quite green.
Although I know you hate to leave your beautiful spot on the mountain, you have a gorgeous ride in to town! Thank you for sharing. I too love all the old building in the countryside!
