Or

Whatever color the living room ends up, I am loving the idea of looking up to a blue loft. That blue could be the same for the basement patio ceiling's haint blue.

How would it look with the blue in the loft and creamy white everywhere else?

Very Southwestern.

Too Southwestern for the location and home style. Blue above is perfect, how about a hot PINK all over to blend nicely with the blue ? I would go w/ sallysmom and say a beige everywhere else, maybe put that nice green in your bath. What type of art do you have ? that matters as well.

Another thing-will you have stained or painted doors and trim? I think that will make a difference too.

Hi Christopher! WOW ~ I love all these options (some more than others). Now I see that blue and I think that looks great! I agree that the art you have to put on your walls will make such a difference in your color choice. If your art is dramatic, you want that to be the showcase, not the color of the walls. If you want bold, I like the second terra-cotta or orange in this post. I also like the green in the last post as that is very calming and it blends in so nicely with your gardens. Also, it will bring a splash of "life" in the dreary winters.

I would say that when picking wall color for a room, you try and see what matches with the fabric of your furniture or drapes. I think you mentioned you don't have those, but you do have art. You need to see what color works best with your art. There is a light color from BM that I really like as it seems to look different in a room depending on the light and other colors in your room. I think the color is Pittsfield Buff (or something like that). It might be too "bland" for you.

i like the tan and the dark green - we have started using creamy tans called cashew crunch and names that sound like nuts or grains. I didn't think i would like "beige" - but it goes with everything - you feel cozy in it and it changes during the day according to the quality of the light coming in. try some grains or nut colors. you might even go with a pecan or warm brown. maybe a glaze you can texture.

It isn't easy being bold is it? Maybe beige isn't so bad ... But you know I haven't given up yet.

Never give up Christopher. There is a color out there that will just knock your socks off. I do agree that your accessories should be you bold colors. Those can be changed with your mood. Or the time of yr.
Mostly just "enjoy it".
