No Shoveling

I made it all the way up to the scenic byway today. It snowed all night and there was more snow on the ground when I woke up. I'm beginning to think snow only piles up at night.

It was a snow shoveling reconnaissance mission. This has been more cold than snow. There was three inches at best. No shoveling will be needed to get out. Works for me.

More deep cold and more snow is scheduled through at least Tuesday of next week. It might take a while for this little bit of snow to melt, longer if more is added to the pile.

The sunny utility meadow and the roadside vegetable garden are the last bits of chop and drop that need to be done. Both are half done already. It could be finished with one nice day. The grasses are the last thing to come down and that doesn't need to happen until sometime in March.

The fully tabulated pencil version of both state and federal taxes are complete. The final mail in inked forms will be done at a later time when money returns with the spring. I truly am going to be forced to clean something now. There are multiple days of cold ahead.

The roadside vegetable garden needs to be ready for the first sowing by mid-March in case the weathers cooperate. I should add more dung. I want more wood chips. I don't know if either will happen. It can ride without this year if need be.

I lost a tassel in the winds. It's too cold to climb up there now.

I don't remember seeing those yellow covers on the guide wires by Uncle Ernie before. Hmmm
Get your spring cleaning done. Then you will be ready for chop and drop, veggie gardening etc.
